Leaf Motif, established in 2003, is the vision of artist Catherine M.S. Cowles whose passion for Nature inspired a line of clay leaf sculptures more than twenty years ago. Much has happened over the years as she and her husband, photographer Ovie Cowles, guided the business to where it is today. Based in Pasadena, California, Leaf Motif offers a range of home decor products including framed original leaf collages, artist selected giclee reproduction prints, and a line of illuminations which includes Kandle KuffsTM, e-Kandle KuffsTM, e-Kandle WrapzTM, occasional lamps, and illuminated wall sconces. Because all of our items are uniquely handcrafted, they may not always be readily available. We offer on-line shopping for some of our items and, with others, we ask that you contact us to make a specific inquiry. If an item is unavailable, we are happy to discuss your specific interest so that we may provide a similar item to you. We participate in numerous fine arts and crafts shows throughout California and occasionally out of state. A schedule of our upcoming events is available on this page. Our most popular illumination products, the Original Kandle KuffsTM, our newest e-Kandle KuffsTM, and our gift-giving favorite, e-Kandle WrapzTM are now all available for purchase using PayPal's secure shopping platform. You will also notice changes on our Botanical Prints and Illuminated Wall Sconce pages. While you cannot place an on-line order for these items, you will see a completely new Catalog on each of these products that you can view on-line or download to view at your convenience. Because these particular products are most often created when ordered, and oftentimes involve some degree of customization, we feel it's better to work with you one-to-one in handling these artwork investments.
